Ms. Donnelly began her ballet training at the age of 11 at Raleigh School of Ballet and later became a member of its affiliate performance training company, the Raleigh Dance Theatre. During her time with RDT, she performed in many ballet and contemporary works, as well as choreographed and set two ballets on the company. Both works were adjudicated and selected to be performed at the annual Regional Dance America (RDA)/Southeastern Regional Ballet Conference.
In 2016, Ms. Donnelly resumed training at the International Ballet Academy, in Cary, NC. Under IBA’s direction, she continued to perform, choreograph, and compete at the Youth America Grand Prix, as well as the American Dance Competition. Here, she received an offer to join Sarasota Ballet’s Margaret Barbieri Conservatory in Florida. Upon attending, Ms. Donnelly was hired as a Company trainee for The Sarasota Ballet during their 2018/2019 season where, in addition to dancing, Ms. Donnelly was asked to choreograph and set new works on fellow trainees, as well as students attending the 2019 Sarasota Ballet Summer Intensive. These works were performed at multiple outreach events and performances. Ms. Donnelly is currently a faculty member at Prestige Dance Institute in Garner, NC, where she teaches ballet and pointe.
